Middle Tennessee State vs. UConn Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/ Under for College Football Week 8
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders (2-4) were trounced by Malik Willis and the Liberty Flames last week, 41-13. Middle Tennessee gathered just 267 yards of offense, picking up only 37 yards on the ground as quarterback Chase Cunningham completed 22 of 42 pass attempts for 230 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
The Connecticut Huskies (1-7) won their first game of the season, defeating the FCS Yale Bulldogs, 21-15. The Huskies won by six points, but they should have won by even more after intercepting Yale’s quarterbacks four times; winning the turnover battle with four takeaways to none.

Middle Tennessee vs. Connecticut Prediction and Pick
UConn won a game over an FCS team by six points and should have won by way more. This just goes to show how sloppy this Huskies team can be.
Middle Tennessee’s quarterback Chase Cunningham has done a decent job of not turning over the football, with a touchdown to interception ratio of 12 to two. The Blue Raiders are averaging about 11 more points scored per game than Connecticut.
Despite their defense allowing 31 points per game, that’s still better than the Huskies giving up 35 points per game. UCONN is awful.
I’m taking Middle Tennessee on the spread at -14.5.
