Bahamas Bowl Prediction and Pick

Both team’s defenses are much stronger than their offenses. Toledo ranks 13th in opponent yards per play, Middle Tennessee ranks 37th. They are 22nd and 103rd in offensive yards per play respectively.

Middle Tennessee is likely starting their third string QB, Nick Vattiato. Their first string, Chase Cunningham, is injured and their second string, Bailey Hockman, left the team. Vattiato has thrown five touchdowns and six interceptions this season, and is averaging only 5.7 yards per pass attempt.

Both teams are terrible on third down offensively. 93rd and 124th (8th last) in third down conversion rate, 50th and 58th in defensive third down rate. Those stats point towards an UNDER. Let's root for defense in this one.

Pick: UNDER 52
