The Buffalo Bills are coming off one of the most disappointing losses in recent memory. It isn’t often that what many considered to be the best team in the league gets beat by one of the worst. But, somehow the Jaguars did just that, and it wasn't in some insane offensive shootout. Instead, the Jaguars beat the odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl by a final score of 9-6.

This leave a lot of questions heading into the Bills’ Week 10 matchup against the New York Jets. Normally, this wouldn’t be much of a consideration because the Jets are 2-6 on the season. But, I think most would agree that they are at least slightly better than the Jaguars.

The Bills are still a good team, but have lost a lot of trust in the eyes of the betting public. This is evidenced by the moneyline (ML) odds movement heading into Week 10.

Let’s catch up on all the odds for this game and try and figure out what is happening on the ML.

Bills vs Jets, Spread, and Total Odds

Spread:

  • Bills: -12.0 (-110)
  • Jets: +12.0 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Bills: -650 / opened -700
  • Jets: +475  / opened +530

Total:

  • 48.0 (Over -110/Under -110)

As the line movement suggests, the Jets have been a popular early bet on the moneyline to outright beat the Bills. This is something that WynnBET Trader Sawyer Johnson mentioned when we asked him about any popular ML upset bets heading into Week 10. Sawyer said that “we’ve seen a lot of interest in the Jets. Patrons either like Mike White, are skeptical of the Bills, or it is a combination of both.”

This makes a lot of sense considering the Bills’ Week 9 disaster and the hype surrounding White in New York. The Jets have been so bad for so long that one 400+ yard game happens and everyone loses their minds. The Jets coaching staff agrees and has decided to start White over a supposedly healthy Zach Wilson. Wilson was supposed to be the next in a long line of “future” quarterbacks for the Jets. Like the others, he hasn’t panned out yet.

Enter White who has had success over the last three weeks. White is racking up yards, but his TD/INT ration of 5/4 will need to be addressed. While I don’t think either of these two guys are going to make an impact on this league, the same cant be said for the Jets' outright odds this weekend.
