A pair of struggling SEC teams try to turn their seasons around tonight when the Ole Miss Rebels host the Missouri Tigers at the Sandy and John Black Pavillion. The Rebels enter the game with a 9-7 overall record and a 1-3 mark in SEC play. Ole Miss has lost four of their last five games including their last game to Auburn after a decent start to the year. It seems that they just can’t hang with the other good teams in the SEC.

Luckily for Ole Miss, Missouri is not one of those “good” SEC teams, and enters this game with a 7-9 overall record. They most recently suffered a 67-64 loss to Texas A&M.

The Rebels did sweep Missouri last year but look very weak over the last few games and are a hard team to trust. The Tigers are 3-2 ATS as an underdog and 2-2 ATS in conference play.

Missouri vs. Ole Miss Prediction and Pick

The Tigers are coming off a particularly tough loss to Texas A&M. After going up by 13 points late in the second quarter and leading at the half, Missouri came out in the 2H and completely fell apart. Their defense got gassed and allowed the Aggies back into the game. Missouris’ offense disappeared as well and the Aggies took the lead with less than a minute left to win the game. The game highlighted the biggest issue that the Tigers currently have. They just are not very good. They don't have a lot of excitement going on either side of the ball with their offense shooting less than 50 percent from two and allowing opponents to shoot 50.5 percent from the field.

Ole Miss will need more from their offense tonight than they have been getting lately but their defense is pretty solid. The Rebels are 94th in defensive scoring with an average of 65.4 points per game. Their offense currently averages 69.3 PPG on 49.3 percent shooting.

While both teams are having some issues on offense, Ole Miss has a far better team than Missouri. Even in their losses, Ole Miss at least remained competitive and played a solid game against Auburn despite the loss. Meanwhile, the Tigers are garbage on the road having lost their last six away games by at least 20 points.

Pick: Ole Miss -7.5 (-110)
