The 2023 All-Star game is here as the best in baseball get ready to do battle in Seattle on Tuesday night.

MLB All-Star games are typically pitcher's duels as starters tend to show up and that's evident in the recent history of the game with some very low scoring affairs. The All-Star Game has also been dominated by the American League, winners of 27 of the last 33 games.

Here are a pair of betting trends to get you set for the 2023 edition of the Midsummer classic.

Bet on Unders

If you are going to trust history, than unders are the bet. Over the last 16 games, unders are 13-1-2, including last year's 3-2 win for the American League.

With the best of the best on the mound, and none pitching more than two innings or so, there are typically fresh arms ready to shut down the opposing lineup in short bursts.

Playing in the pitcher friendly park of Safeco Field, the total is a half-run lower at 7.5 this year compared to last year. For what it's worth, the only other two times the total has been below 8 over the last 16 All-Star games has gone over.

American League Dominates All-Star Game

It's been all AL for years now, winners of nine in a row and 27 of the last 33 All-Star Games.

These games continue to be lined as near coin flips, the AL is -115 this season, considering it is an exhibition game and the team's are loaded, but that hasn't stopped the American League from crushing in the middle of July.

The players change, the location changes, but the American League continues to win in a big way in the All-Star game.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
