Following a rain out in the Guardians-Yankees series, we have a trio of games on Friday, October 14th in Major League Baseball's postseason.

The Dodgers-Padres and Braves-Phillies series will be onto Game 3 in a different location while the Guardians are still in New York taking on the AL East champions Yankees. Here is how the BetSided staff sees Friday's slate shaking out:

Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees Prediction and Best Bet

  • Pick: UNDER 6

Bieber was at the top of his game against the Rays, making one mistake during nearly eight innings of work on Friday, a solo home run by Jose Siri in the sixth inning. Besides that, it was a Bieber masterclass and I believe that he can shove again against this Yankees lineup.

Bieber has been getting better and better as the season has gone on, pitching to 2.48 ERA since the All-Star Break. He has nearly doubled his strikeout-to-walk ratio looking at first half to second half going from 4.24 to 8.36. I don't believe this Yankees lineup is deep enough to challenge Bieber and he can get through this game relatively unscathed.

However, the Guardians are hitting below .240 as a team against lefties and are struggling at the plate in the postseason. The team has scored four runs in three games against the Rays and Yankees and I'm concerned that they can challenge Cortes.

I'll go with the under on Thursday night with two excellent pitchers on the mound. -- Reed Wallach

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction and Best Bet

  • Pick: First Five Innings UNDER 3.5

Strider is likely going to be on a pitch limit around one pass through the lineup, but I'm expecting a hot start from the Rookie of the Year contender given his year long success against the Phillies.

Sure, it's his first start back, but his oblique strain appears to be more based around fatigue than anything, not structural damage, so I expect a rested Strider to return and pitch to his usual high level.

On the other hand, Nola has seen the Braves plenty of times in his career, 30 starts and a 3.39 ERA. There's plenty of experience for the pitcher and the entire Braves lineup against each other so they'll know what's coming, but I expect a strong start at home for the Phillies starter.

Nola finished the season on a tear, pitching to a 2.36 ERA in his last six regular season start and following it up with a shutout effort against the Cardinals on the road in Game 2 of the Wild Card series across six-and-two-third innings.

This game will be low scoring early with two high level pitchers showing up, but I want to avoid the bullpens so I'll go with a F5 under bet.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres Prediction and Best Bet

  • Pick: Dodgers ML (-122)

The bullpen held up in Game 2, but does that happen twice in a row against a tough Dodgers lineup?

If there’s anything the Dodgers do, it’s win Tony Gonsolin’s starts, as he’s gone 16-1 this season with the team going 19-5 in his 24 starts. Gonsolin dominated the Padres in two regular season starts, allowing just seven hits and one earned run in 12.2 innings pitched.

I love the Padres’ fight, but this is too short of a price on the moneyline for me not to take the Dodgers. The season-long sample size tells me that the Dodgers are due to bounce back against a team they handled pretty well in 2022. -- Peter Dewey
