We're back to our normal Friday schedule, with every MLB team in action. We even have a double-header today, meaning there are 16 games on the docket.
There's several games going on today with playoff implications and BetSided is all over it.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals Game 1 Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Phillies -1.5
Anytime I get to fade Erick Fedde, I will. He’s been terrible this season and the Phillies still have everything to play for.
Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: OVER 7
Neither of these pitchers have been fantastic and even with suspect offenses behind them, I think this number is a bit generous.
Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Orioles +1.5
Baltimore has made a living this season as underdogs on the run line, and I’ll back them to do it today as well.
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals Game 2 Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Phillies -1.5
When a team is simply better than the other, there’s not much you can do but ride the wave.
Boston Red Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Toronto ML
Pivetta has allowed three or more runs in four of his last six starts, and he simply doesn’t hold a candle to Manoah in the Blue Jays ace has his best stuff. With the wild card race still undecided, back this Blue Jays team, which has been hot at the plate, to take this series opener. – Peter Dewey
Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland Guardians Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Royals ML
Brady Singer has been good this season, sporting a sub-3.00 ERA. I’ll trust him and take a swing today.
Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Twins ML
Minnesota is 10-6 SU against the Tigers this season. They’re in control of this series and won’t give one up this year.
New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: UNDER 6.5
Both of these offenses have been solid all season, but these starters are a different breed. When you couple that with two top-10 bullpens, you have a recipe for a pitchers duel in Atlanta. – Peter Dewey
Miami Marlins vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Marlins ML
Over his last three starts, Alcantara has a 1.50 ERA, striking out 22 batters in 24.0 innings of work while leading the Marlins to a 2-1 record in those games.
Milwaukee needs this game much more than the Marlins, but I can’t pass up getting to bet on Alcantara at this price, especially with how deep he’s pitched into games lately. – Peter Dewey
Tampa Bay Rays vs. Houston Astros Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Houston ML
The Astros are 51-24 SU at home this season. They’re comfortable in Minute Maid and should cruise tonight.
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Pirates +1.5
Pittsburgh has won three in a row, and I want to give them a little bit of credit here.
Texas Rangers vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: OVER 8
I don’t trust either of these pitchers, so I don’t feel good about picking a side. Instead, we’ll take the OVER and root for offense.
Chicago White Sox vs. San Diego Padres Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Padres -1.5
San Diego simply doesn’t lose when Darvish is on the mound.
Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Mariners -1.5
This is an easy one for me. I’ll take the playoff team at home against one of the worst teams in all of baseball.
Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Dodgers -1.5
If you think the Dodgers are going to win a game, you should just take them on the run line. Also, this is the only way to get value on them tonight.
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction and Best Bet
- Pick: Arizona ML
This is an even matchup in my eyes, so I’ll go to where the better number is.
