I’m not going to lie. I’m very hurt with how yesterday’s props turned out. Kershaw – even in a bad start – was one strikeout away from clearing the line. Then, Rodon only struck out four against the lowly Tigers. It wasn’t a great night for us, but we march forward.

Let’s get right into the bets for today, with odds coming from consensus lines and WynnBET Sportsbook.

MLB Best Bets Today

  • Julio Urias OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-102)
  • Alek Manoah OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-110)
  • Ranger Suarez UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-120)

Julio Urias OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-102)

Urias is on a hot streak right now. He’s cleared this line in four of his last five starts, including three straight. The one game he missed this line was by one strikeout. Urias will face a challenge today, going against the Rockies and their top 10 strikeout rate.

The key to Urias’ success will be the length of his start. If he’s able to go his normal six innings, I’m very confident in this prop. He missed this line against the Rockies back on opening day, but only lasted two innings. It’s a simple solution, but more innings will lead to more strikeouts.

Alek Manoah OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-110)

Manoah is a Cy Young contender and one of the more consistent pitchers in the game. He struck out seven players during his first start against the Red Sox. He’s cleared this line in four of his last six games and I’ll back him to do it again. The Red Sox are top 6 in the league in strikeout percentage, but Manoah is more reliable than Boston is.

Ranger Suarez UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-120)

Suarez has hit the OVER on this line in three of his last five starts, but has scraped by with five strikeouts in those games. Against the Phillies, I think he’s due for some regression. The Phillies are 15th in the Majors in overall strikeout rate, but it’s a different story when they travel. Philadelphia has the fifth-lowest strikeout rate when it's on the road. Suarez, who’s already cutting it close with a lot of his wins, will have some trouble today.
