I have a full plate ready for y'all today. There's a strikeout prop, a hit prop and we're even taking a chance at a long ball today.

Without further ado, let's get right to the props.

All odds via WynnBET Sportsbook:

MLB Best Bets Today

  • Patrick Sandoval OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+105)
  • Robbie Grossman OVER 0.5 Hits (-125)
  • Ty France OVER 0.5 Home runs (+520)

Patrick Sandoval OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+105)

Sandoval had a great season-opening start and will continue to do so tonight. The Astros are one of the harder teams to strike out, but they are coming off a terrible performance against the Mariners and this line is low enough to make sense. Sandoval struck out six batters in his first game – and only did that in four innings. If he can get a few extra batters on his plate tonight, then I see this line showing great value.

Robbie Grossman OVER 0.5 Hits (-125)

Grossman has struggled heavily this season. He has two hits in 19 at-bats. However, he got a hit in his last game against the Royals and that’s just the thing he needed to end his hitless streak. Grossman is a lifetime .249 hitter. I’m expecting Grossman to find a little bit of success against a Yankees team that’s allowing 7.16 hits per 9 innings.

Ty France OVER 0.5 Home runs (+520)

Normally, I wouldn’t put a home run prop in this column. However, I like my chances tonight.

A little sprinkle on a home run prop never hurt anybody right?

France is second on the team in home runs this season and has a great matchup tonight. The Texas Rangers give up the most home runs per game this season, allowing 2.03 dingers per game. The next closest is the Seattle Mariners at 1.57. Texas is far and away the best matchup for any home run pick. France has a decent batting average at .289, so I’ll back him to at least get the bat on the ball. Jon Gray, the Rangers’ starter for tonight, didn’t have the best first outing, so I expect a little shakiness from him tonight and some confidence from France.
