MLB Best Bets Today (Predictions for Giants-Guardians and Dodgers-Braves)
For the first time this year, I’ll steer clear of a player prop and look at two team props instead. I’m going to the West coast with my picks, which has some great baseball this year.
Let’s get right to it, with all odds via WynnBET Sportsbook:
MLB Best Bets Today
- Giants Team Total OVER 3.5 Runs (-120)
- Dodgers -1.5 vs. Reds (-120)
Giants Team Total OVER 3.5 Runs (-120)
This game can go either way and I don’t have a great feel for it, so I’ll look to the run line here. Yesterday, I picked the OVER to hit and failed. Yet the mark of a winner is perseverance, so I’m going to back the over tonight as well.
These are two of the best offenses in baseball, and I feel the same way today as yesterday.
"Cleveland is averaging 7.5 runs per game by itself and 9 runs per game over the last three. San Francisco is closer to five runs per game, but that’s easily over half the total."
This pitching matchup isn’t as great as it was yesterday, so I like the over. San Francisco has the lower number out of the two teams, which is why I’m backing them.
Dodgers -1.5 vs. Reds (-120)
I don't want to take too much of your time because this is an easy pick for me. The Dodgers have won four in a row and have covered in each of them. Whatever Opening Day nerves they had are no longer there and they are just playing baseball.
Los Angeles is third in the league in run differential, fifth in batting average and sixth in runs per game. Their offense is methodical and can beat teams multiple different ways.
Julio Urias gets the start tonight and he can't be much worse than he was in his first start. He only pitched two innings because he was that bad. With a bounce back performance from him and this offense rolling, this is a good spot for the Dodgers.
