It was a solid Wednesday for the team, as we went 2-1 on the day. The only miss for us was the UNDER on Blake Snell's strikeout prop. Today, it's a slighter slate of picks, but that doesn't mean we're any less confident in these winners.

Sonny Gray UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-128)

Sonny Gray isn’t exactly known as a strikeout pitcher, but he’s done well in that department as of late, surpassing 4.5 strikeouts in three of his last five starts. With that being said, I still feel comfortable fading his strikeout total today when he and the Twins take on the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays, dating back to July 1st, have the second best strikeout rate in the Majors, striking out on only 19.3% of their plate appearances. None of the teams Gray faced when he surpassed this total the three times in July, rank inside the top 10 in that stat.

Also, if the Blue Jays’ hot bats get to him early, Gray may not last long in this game. He’s only pitched past five innings once since July 1st. – Iain MacMillan

Justin Verlander UNDER 19.5 Outs Recorded (-125) – BetMGM Sportsbook

I went with a prop like this yesterday with Shohei Ohtani and I’m going back to the well with Verlander. Over his last 5 starts, Verlander has gone under this number twice. While you may take that as a sign to take the OVER, he’s coming off a near 8-inning performance. The Astros will be sure to manage his pitches and keep him fresh for the final stretch of the season.

Also, our Iain MacMillan wrote how Verlander is consistently worse come August. If Verlander continues to have end of summer struggles, I like for his day to end early. – Donnavan Smoot
