Saturday’s MLB slate is packed full of action, and I want to dig into a couple of player props for the day. Specifically, pitching props for strikeout totals.

Let’s dive right into these plays with current odds from WynnBET Sportsbook

Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

MLB Best Bets Today

  • Dean Kremer OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+120)
  • Patrick Corbin OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-165)
  • Triston McKenzie UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (+100)

Dean Kremer OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+120) - Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels

I rarely trust a Baltimore Oriole to go over a player prop, but I like this matchup for Kremer today. The 26-year-old righty is facing off against the putrid Los Angeles Angels at Camden Yards. One reason the Angels are playing so poorly is that they lead the entire league in strikeouts per game (9.64). What's more, the Angels allow more than 10 strikeouts per game on the road this year. While Kremer is not a big strikeout guy, he has gone over this total in two of his last three games.

Patrick Corbin OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-165) - Washington Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves

As hard as it is for me to trust a Baltimore player to cover a prop, I think I have even less faith in Washington’s roster. One glaring issue all year has been starter Patrick Corbin. He enters this game at 3-10 with a 5.68 ERA and 1.67 WHIP.

So why trust him here?

Well, I trust him to strike out four players, that hardly means I expect him to avoid getting crushed by the Braves today. Because even if Corbin does, he still has a good shot to go over this mark. The last time he faced the Braves was a 2 ⅔ inning disaster for Corbin back in April. But, even with less than three innings of work, Corbin managed three strikeouts. And, despite his record, Corbin has gone over this strikeout total twice in three games including a 12 strikeout game against the Pirates.

Triston McKenzie UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (+100) - Cleveland Guardians vs. Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals may be one of the worst in the MLB in terms of wins and losses, but they also rank fifth in strikeouts per game at the plate. The Royals average 7.67 per game and are even better at home with a 6.95 mark on the season.

Despite this, fading McKenzie in this spot is risky. He has gone OVER this total in his last five games including a one-hit gem against the Yankees on Sunday. But, in his only start against KC this year, he struck out just one Royal while walking two.
