The Los Angeles Dodgers can't be stopped right now, extending their lead in the National League West to 16 games midway through the month of August.

The Dodgers' path to playoff success got easier as well over the weekend, with San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. getting suspended for 80 games due to a positive PED test.

The Tatis news really puts a damper on the Padres' outlook, even though they traded for Juan Soto at this year's trade deadline. However, does it drop them in our Power Rankings?

Every week at BetSided, yours truly shares the latest Power Rankings for MLB in relation to the odds to win the World Series at WynnBET Sportsbook. Let's dive into this week's rankings:

1. Los Angeles Dodgers (+325) Last Week: No. 1

The Dodgers are one win away from 80 on the season and have all but wrapped up the NL West. They are clear favorites to win the World Series.

2. New York Mets (+450) LW: No. 2

Jacob deGrom is back to his other world self, and it's going to make New York a tough out in the playoffs. The Mets have a big series with the Atlanta Braves coming up this week.

3. Houston Astros (+425) LW: No. 3

The Astros have won four straight and have jumped the Yankees for the best record in the AL.

4. New York Yankees (+350) LW: No. 4

The Yankees are in TROUBLE. They've gone under .500 since their series with the Astros, which has been more than 40 games. Injuries have also taken their toll, making this number too high to bet.

5. Atlanta Braves (+1250) LW: No. 5

Six straight wins for the defending champs? That'll keep you in the top 5. The Braves could make a push in the NL East when they take on the Mets this week.

6. St. Louis Cardinals (+4000) LW: No. 11

The Cardinals are still a long shot to win the World Series, but they lead the NL Central and have one of the better records in the NL. There could be value here.

7. Toronto Blue Jays (+1600) LW: No. 7

The Blue Jays could've gained a ton of ground on the Yankees, but with New York going 2-8, the Jays are just 3-7 over their last 10 games.

8. Philadelphia Phillies (+3000) LW: No. 10

The Phillies may benefit the most from Tatis' suspension, as it should give them a clearer path to a wild card spot if San Diego starts to struggle.

9. San Diego Padres (+1500) LW: No. 8

The Padres drop a spot after their odds fell with Tatis Jr. done for this season and the start of the 2023 campaign.

10. Cleveland Guardians (+6000) LW: No. 14

The Guardians have slashed their odds nearly in half, and now are favored at FanGraphs to win the AL Central.

11. Seattle Mariners (+2500) LW: No. 9

Seattle is in the playoff picture right now, but the AL East is pushing to get four teams into the field.

12. Tampa Bay Rays (+5000) LW: No. 11

The Rays picked up two huge wins against the Baltimore Orioles to regain the final wild card spot in the AL.

13. Milwaukee Brewers (+3000) LW: No. 13

The Brewers haven't looked great since the deadline, and they've really struggled against left-handed pitching since the start of July.

14. Baltimore Orioles (+20000) LW: No. 16

I'm going to show the Orioles some serious love, as they have a real chance to sneak into the playoffs despite selling at the deadline.

15. Minnesota Twins (+5000) LW: No. 12

ESPN gives the Twins almost a 63% chance of making the playoffs, but given their recent play, they have an uphill battle in the division.

16. Chicago White Sox (+5000) LW: No. 15

The injuries keep coming for the White Sox, who have now lost Tim Anderson for several weeks. I don't know if they'll be able to overcome and make the playoffs.

17. San Francisco Giants (+10000) LW: No. 17

A two-run walk off homer on Sunday brought the Giants back to .500 on the season, but they're still pretty far out of the playoff mix.

18. Boston Red Sox (+10000) LW: No. 18

Once again, the Red Sox gave the Yankees trouble at Fenway Park. They'll need a big run in the second half to sneak into the wild card.

19. Arizona Diamondbacks (+200000) LW: No. 21

The D-Backs have seven of 10 and only have a minus-18 run differential this season. Arizona isn't great, but it has some potential, especially with its pitching staff, going forward.

20. Los Angeles Angels (+50000) LW: No. 23

The Angles have won seven of their last 10 games, and they have Shohei Ohtani on the mound on Monday. The playoffs are probably out of reach, but they are finally turning things around.

21. Texas Rangers (+50000) LW: No. 20

The Rangers are in danger of slipping back into fourth in the AL West with the Angels recent play.

22. Colorado Rockies (+200000) LW: No. 21

The Rockies have a better record than you'd expect for a team that has a 5.00 ERA on the season.

23. Miami Marlins (+50000) LW: No. 19

The Marlins are falling apart with injuries, losing four straight and eight of 10 to fall 15 games below .500.

24. Kansas City Royals (+200000) LW: No. 24

The Royals have looked much better since letting their young players dominate the roster. Maybe that's a good sign for 2023?

25. Chicago Cubs (+200000) LW: No. 27

Cubs fans have to hope that they extend some of their better players, otherwise this season was a real waste.

26. Detroit Tigers (+200000) LW: No. 25

The Tigers have lost seven straight and nine of their last 10. This has been a huge disappointment of a season for a team with some solid young players.

27. Cincinnati Reds (+500000) LW: No. 26

The Reds dropped the Field of Dreams Game to the Cubs, and it's led to them falling into fourth and two games behind Chicago in the division.

28. Pittsburgh Pirates (+200000) LW: No. 28

Four straight losses have moved the Pirates back to the bottom of the NL Central.

29. Oakland Athletics (+500000) LW: No. 29

The A's have lost eight straight games and are in tank mode for the No. 1 pick.

30. Washington Nationals (+500000) LW: No. 30

The Nationals are the only team with less than 40 wins and are now 40 games below .500.
