It's nearly September, which means the playoff races in MLB are heating up in a big way.

The Philadelphia Phillies finally got Bryce Harper back in the lineup, and are surging in the National League, passing the San Diego Padres for the No. 2 wild card spot in the NL. That's not ideal for San Diego, who has seen the trade deadline blow up in its face. They're newly acquired closer Josh Hader keeps struggling mightily; allowing six runs in Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Royals.

Meanwhile the New York Yankees still can't figure things out, dropping back-to-back games to the Oakland Athletics over the weekend. New York had just a 7.5-game lead in the division over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Every week at BetSided, yours truly shares the latest Power Rankings for MLB in relation to the odds to win the World Series at WynnBET Sportsbook. Let's dive into this week's rankings:

1. Los Angeles Dodgers (+325) Last Week: No. 1

Unless some major collapse happens, this is the Dodgers' spot to lose for the rest of the regular season.

2. New York Mets (+450) LW: No. 2

Jacob deGrom continues to show that he's back, and that's a problem for anyone who runs into the Mets in the playoffs.

3. Houston Astros (+400) LW: No. 3

Houston has a nice cushion in the AL West, but Justin Verlander did leave his start on Sunday with an injury.

4. Atlanta Braves (+1200) LW: No. 4

I wouldn't mind betting the Braves at this price, even if they have to go through the wild card. This team has locked up so much young talent and has come alive at the right time.

5. New York Yankees (+400) LW: No. 5

The Yankees put together a mini win streak, but they are still shaky on offense this month, ranking 25th in OPS.

6. St. Louis Cardinals (+3000) LW: No. 6

The Cardinals are a bargain at +3000, as they have arguably the best offense in baseball. Jack Flaherty is also making his way back, which would really bolster this rotation.

7. Tampa Bay Rays (+5000) LW: No. 9

The Rays have quietly been moving up our rankings, as they inch closer to the Yankees in the AL East.

8. Seattle Mariners (+2500) LW: No. 10

Seattle is going to be a tough out in the playoffs, especially if Luis Castillo and Robbie Ray are on their A-game.

9. San Diego Padres (+2000) LW: No. 7

Everyone who bet the Padres to win the World Series at the deadline is likely regretting that call. San Diego is far from a lock to make the playoffs.

10. Philadelphia Phillies (+3000) LW: No. 12

With Bryce Harper back in the lineup, the Phillies are making a charge in the NL East, sitting 9.5 games back and now in the second wild card spot.

11. Toronto Blue Jays (+2000) LW: No. 8

The Jays have squandered a chance to gain ground on the Yankees by playing equally as bad this month.

12. Cleveland Guardians (+6000) LW: No. 11

The Guardians still have the lead in the AL Central, but the Minnesota Twins are right on their heels...

13. Minnesota Twins (+6000) LW: No. 14

... Speaking of the Twins, they've won three straight to create some separation from Chicago in the AL Central. There's still work to be done if Minnesota wants a wild card spot.

14. Milwaukee Brewers (+3000) LW: No. 13

Milwaukee has a path to the playoffs, but it's likely through the wild card with the Cardinals playing so well.

15. Baltimore Orioles (+10000) LW: No. 15

The O's are seven games over .500, and they are just 1.5 games out of a wild card spot in the AL.

16. Chicago White Sox (+5000) LW: No. 16

Four straight losses may signal the writing on the wall that the White Sox are done this season.

17. San Francisco Giants (+10000) LW: No. 17

San Fran is another team that's lost four straight. This is a tough step back from the team that won the NL West last season.

18. Boston Red Sox (+20000) LW: No. 18

Boston has the worst ERA in baseball over the last 15 days, all but cementing this team's fate of missing the playoffs.

19. Arizona Diamondbacks (+200000) LW: No. 19

The D-Backs are just eight games under .500, they just unfortunately play in the toughest division in MLB.

20. Texas Rangers (+200000) LW: No. 19

The Rangers could be a team that makes a leap next season, but the pitching will have to be better than it has been in 2022.

21. Chicago Cubs (+200000) LW: No. 21

The Cubs stick in this spot, and it appears they may be in the Shohei Ohtani sweepstakes next season?

22. Los Angeles Angels (+200000) LW: No. 22

The Angels have won three straight, and Ohtani has a chance to make an MVP statement this week against the Yankees and Aaron Judge.

23. Colorado Rockies (+200000) LW: No. 22

The Rockies' horrible 19-42 record on the road has held them back in a big way this season.

24. Miami Marlins (+200000) LW: No. 19

The Marlins' pitching has been a bright spot this season, but inept offense down the stretch cost them any chance at a playoff spot.

25. Kansas City Royals (+200000) LW: No. 24

Did we expect anything less from this Royals team?

26. Detroit Tigers (+200000) LW: No. 25

Any time you have the fewest runs scored in the league, you're going to be in a bit of trouble.

27. Cincinnati Reds (+500000) LW: No. 26

The Reds never had a chance this season, but they did rebound from a terrible start to at least compete with the Pirates and Cubs in the division.

28. Oakland Athletics (+500000) LW: No. 29

The A's have a ton of prospects they can get a look at to end this season after trading away several key vets this season.

29. Pittsburgh Pirates (+200000) LW: No. 28

The Pirates have some nice young pieces, but they really fell off in the second half of the season to land in last in the NL Central at this point.

30. Washington Nationals (+500000) LW: No. 30

It's going to be a long time until the Nationals are contenders again.
