On an active Saturday Major League slate, several notable pitching matchups are on the calendar for bettors to take note.

Several AL Cy Young candidates are on the bump this afternoon, though two of them are not facing each other. Martin Pérez of the Texas Rangers looks to continue his stellar season down south in Arlington when they host the Minnesota Twins at 4:05 p.m. ET, while Houston Astros SP Framber Valdez heads to Oakland to face the last place Athletics in an AL West showdown.

The latest game of the night features arguably the best of the AL pitchers, as Robbie Ray looks to stay hot for the Seattle Mariners against Alek Manoah and the Toronto Blue Jays. Ray won the 2021 AL Cy Young award as a member of the Blue Jays a season ago.

On the National League side, the highlighted game of the night takes place in San Diego on FOX when Carlos Rodón and the San Francisco Giants take on Yu Darvish and the Padres.
