The MLB has 17-games scheduled for today, setting us up with a day full of baseball. The BetSided team went through all the games and picked out our favorite prop bets for the day. Let's get into it.

Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 41-42-0

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Max Scherzer OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-110)
  • Kyle Freeland OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+125)

Max Scherzer OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-110)

In the spirit of transparency, I do think Scherzer is live to give up a home run to Kyle Schwarber today. However, this is an easy line for him to clear. He’s cleared it in every game this season after Opening Day. Scherzer has had 10 strikeouts twice this season and is coming off a 9-strikeout game. He’s in the zone right now and this line is severely undervaluing him – Donnavan Smoot

Kyle Freeland OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+125)

Freeland faces the suddenly resurgent Arizona Diamondbacks, winners of four straight and eight of their last 10.

Granted it was against the Reds, but Freeland may have found something in his last outing; going seven strong innings in a 10-1 victory.

When Freeland is on, it's when his fastball command is most effective and he's not leaving pitches up in the zone. If he can get ahead in counts, he can rack up strikeouts with his slider and curveball.

The Diamondbacks still strike out more than 25.2% of the time, giving Freeland an effective matchup in a ballpark that should feel more pitcher friendly than what he's used to. – Ben Heisler
