Baseball's second half of the season starts back up on Thursday, July 21, with 70-or-so games left to decide which 14 teams will make the newly formatted MLB extended postseason.

With the trade deadline rapidly approaching on August 2nd, the top story of the second half is focused on answering one key question: Where will Washington Nationals superstar outfielder Juan Soto be traded?

The 2022 Home Run Derby champion and 23-year old superstar has three years left on his rookie contract, with his first year of arbitration eligibility beginning next year. With reports of Soto turning down a whopping 15-year, $440 million extension to remain in D.C., Soto could be moved within the coming days.

On Wednesday's episode of "Daily Betslip," BetSided's Peter Dewey and I each made our bold predictions on where Soto's next destination may be. Could he end up with a contender as they look to contend over a 3-year window? Or perhaps a team that could be entering their prime years of contention, signing Soto to a long-term deal as quickly as possible.

While no odds have been set at any books on Soto's next destination, the L.A. Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals have been two teams that reportedly match up well. The Dodgers remain the favorites in the National League at WynnBET Sportsbook to win the World Series at +450, while St. Louis is several teams down at +3000.
