The Atlanta Braves are back in action against the San Francisco Giants with Game 3 of a four-game series at Oracle Park. The pair have split games already, but I think the underdogs are barking today in the Bay Area. Atlanta’s on a bit of a hot streak, but Charlie Morton could put an end to that here with a bad night on the mound.

Here are the odds for this showdown from WynnBET Sportsbook:

  • Braves: +1.5 (+150)

Best MLB Underdog Pick Today

The Braves may be favored in this game, but I think Charlie Morton is a bit of a liability on the mound in this spot. The 38-year-old righty enters this game at 4-3 with a 5.08 ERA and 1.37 WHIP. He was also my cousin’s neighbor growing up and was a total jerk to me, so this pleases me to see. But seriously, for his age, he is playing solid baseball and has begun to look better as the summer hits. In June his ERA is down to 4.00.

Carlos Rodon will make the start for San Francisco tonight and I think he’s in great shape to toss a gem tonight. First off, Rodon has a career batting average against of .167 against the Braves with no extra-base hits allowed. He’s only had a couple of appearances against them, but with a .417 OPS, .167 slugging, and .250 OBP. Rodon has done well to keep Atlanta in check.

The Giants bullpen is also superior with a 2.64 ERA in their last 10 games compared to the Braves at 3.59.

Both of these teams are pretty well matched which makes the Giants a great plus money value on the day.

Pick: Giants +122 ML
