MLB Underdog of the Day (San Francisco's Offense to Cost Rodón Another Victory)

It’s a Monday, it’s the end of summer, and maybe hypothetically, somebody out there… definitely not me, had a tough time betting Week 0 of college football.
Maybe this hypothetical person has been really hot betting baseball and should have never jumped head first into the first week of college football.
If this "person" were to try to get his mojo back, the best place to start would be with a MLB underdog. The plus-signs have been kind to this person all year and the moneyline dogs will come through once again.

Padres vs. Giants Odds, Run Line and Spread

The Giants are a home favorite and a big reason is Carlos Rodón. He has been on fire lately and the Giants have won four of his last five starts. He even put up double digit strikeouts in his last two outings. San Francisco has been struggling, 2-8 in their last 10, but Rodón has been doing his part to keep the sinking ship afloat.
The Giants are 61-65 and have fallen completely out of playoff contention. The wins they've earned have been against the worst of the worst in the MLB. Rodón’s last five starts have come against the Detroit Tigers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Pittsburgh Pirates, Oakland Athletics, and the Chicago Cubs. Those teams are a combined, 128 games under .500 and now Rodón must move up weight classes to face the 70-59 San Diego Padres.
Mike Clevinger has been serviceable for San Diego. Far from the numbers Rodón has put up. Clevinger has a 3.59 ERA and is 4-5 compared to Rodón’s 2.81 ERA and 12-6 record. However, San Francisco’s offense ranks 29th in OPS over the past week and last in runs scored with just nine. That is nine runs in five games. The next closest over that stretch is 12.
Rodon has to step up to face the Padres and the San Francisco offense should be no problem for Clevinger. That makes San Diego an enticing underdog tonight.
