It is a scorcher in Southern California this Saturday.

Both the L.A. Angels and L.A. Dodgers host the Houston Astros and San Diego Padres respectively this evening, with evening temperatures well above their average for early September.

Bettors will want to play close attention to a possible rise in the total in Anaheim, with not only a 95 degree first pitch temperature at Angel Stadium, but the wind blowing out to right-center field at 9-10 mph as well. Hot weather and wind usually lead to plenty of runs and the ball flying out of the park.

Meanwhile, the rest of the day looks fairly clear across baseball with the exception of Cincinnati, St. Louis, and atlanta, where rain could potentially be in the forecasts for today's games between the Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals, and Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves.
