It took a 2:55 rain delay at Truist Park in Atlanta, but baseball finally got played as the Atlanta Braves evened up their NLDS series with the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday.

Now, for the second consecutive day, baseball fans may be waiting on another lengthy delay; this time from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx ahead of the doubleheader of the ALDS between the Yankees and Cleveland Guardians.

In the earlier matchup, the Houston Astros look to take their second straight from the Seattle Mariners after coming back from a 7-3 deficit in the final two innings, highlighted by an absolute missile off the bat of Yordan Alvarez.

Before placing any wagers on tonight's action, you'll want to know the latest weather reports, especially if the rain in New York could prematurely end one of the starting pitchers' nights, as well as how the wind could positively or negatively impact power bats in both teams' respective lineups.

Here's a look at the weather forecasts at both stadiums in Houston and New York for their respective Game 2 matchups, as well as the latest odds, run lines and totals.

Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros Game 2 Weather

FORECAST: N/A - Game is played in a climate-controlled stadium.

With the forecast in Houston in the low 90's at 2:37 p.m. local time, the roof is all but guaranteed to be closed when Astros' left-hander Framber Valdez throws the first pitch of the game.

Via BallParkPal, 84% of Astros games at Minute Maid Park are played with the roof closed. Houston went 55-26 in their home park this year, but went just 39-40-0 on the run line as a home favorite.

The Mariners, as a road underdog this season were 32-19-0 on the run line, but also went 46-38-0 straight up away from Seattle this season.

Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees Game 2 Weather

FORECAST: 65 degrees and rainy. Humidity levels reaching 80-85% range with a 100% chance of precipitation. Wind blowing right-to-left between 17-19 mph.

Once both pitchers finally take the mound, it appears like a suboptimal night to pitch with the heavy winds and tough conditions to grip the ball.

The good news is the wind conditions shouldn't play much of a factor into helping any balls leave the yard with the forecast calling for the gusts to blow directly from right-to-left at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees this season as a home favorite were an impressive 57-24-0 straight up, but were just 37-44-0 on the run line.

Meanwhile, the Guardians thrived in this spot for much of the season. As an away underdog on the run line, Cleveland was 33-16-0, covering 67.4% of their games.

Reed Wallach also broke down the late game and shared his best bet for the evening here.
