The Houston Astros have their backs against the wall in the World Series entering Game 4 in Philadelphia.

Lance McCullers Jr. was rocked by the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 3 on Tuesday night, giving Philly a convincing 2-1 series lead with Game 4 back at Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia has the best home field advantage in MLB right now, winning every game at home so far this postseason.

The rainout on Monday has allowed the Phillies to bring back Game 1 starter Aaron Nola for tonight’s Game 4. He takes on Cristian Javier, who has allowed just one earned run this postseason for Houston.

The weather has already postponed a game in this series, but it shouldn’t play too much of a factor tonight. Here’s the latest forecast:

Houston Astros vs. Philadelphia Phillies Weather for World Series Game 4

  • Forecast: 60 degrees and sunny, wind blowing in from right field at 3 mph, slightly helping the UNDER.

The conditions for tonight’s game are very similar to Game 3, which saw the Phillies hit five home runs.

Despite that, the game actually went UNDER with the total set at 7.5 and Philadelphia winning 7-0. Absolutely brutal if you were on the OVER.

Depending on the sportsbook, you can grab the total in tonight’s game at 7 or 7.5, and it’s worth noting that the Phillies have combined for seven or more runs in five of their six home games this season, clearing the number on four occasions.

Nola was not sharp in Game 1, allowing five runs in 4.1 innings, so I don’t mind taking the OVER here, especially if you can get the caveat of the push at 7. Javier has been great this postseason, but he’s also coming into this game on a major layoff.

I expect both teams to find enough offense to push the total OVER.
