- Seattle Sounders +600
- Philadelphia Union +700
- Minnesota United +1000
- Sporting Kansas City +1000
- New York City FC +1200
- Atlanta United FC +1600
- Orlando City +1600
- Portland Timbers +1600
- Vancouver Whitecaps +2500
- New York Red Bulls +4000
- Real Salt Lake +5000
Now that we’re all caught up with the MLS Cup futures, let’s take a look at the top-3 teams and how they stack up.
New England Revolution +330
The current odds on favorite to win the MLS Cup are the New England Revolution. The team broke the record this season for most points by a team in history with 73 and is set up perfectly for a title run. Of note, the winners of the Supporters’ Shield for most points in a season have missed the finals in three straight seasons. Fans of the Revolution have been waiting a long time for a championship after the team has gone 0-5 in the MLS Cup finals.
Colorado Rapids +450
The Colorado Rapids have the distinction of beating the preseason odds by more than any other team this season. The Rapids opened preseason betting at +5000 to win the Cup and now, just a week away, they are the second favorite. Needless to say, anyone who dared to bet them early on, kudos to you. They enter the playoffs as the top seed in the Western Conference with 61 points.
Seattle Sounders +600
The Seattle Sounders, despite being on the top three of this list, have had a rough last month or so. They are 0-3-3 since the beginning of October and make for a dodgy favorite with so much on the line. This is a good well-rounded team, but heading into the playoffs on a slump is never a good sign.
