The Washington Commanders are looking to play spoiler on Monday night against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.

Philly comes into this game as a massive favorite for the second straight week in primetime, but can it cover against this Washington team?

Taylor Heinicke has brought the Commanders back to relevance in recent weeks, but the team’s season could be in trouble with a loss this week.

Here are three best bets for this matchup from the BetSided team:

Commanders vs. Eagles Best Bets for Monday Night Football

  • Washington Commanders +11 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
  • Antonio Gibson OVER 3.5 Receptions
  • Taylor Heinicke Longest Completion UNDER 34.5 Yards

Washington Commanders +11 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles may be undefeated, and they certainly deserve to be favorites, but there have been some red flags that makes me nervous to lay double-digit points on them.

Mainly, the Eagles run defense has been a huge problem for them. Heading into week 10, they ranked 29th in opponent yards per carry, allowing opposing teams to average 5.2 yards per rush against them. We saw the Houston Texans cover the spread against them last week but running the ball effectively.

Let's also remember that Washington's defense has been strong over the past few weeks, mainly on third down and in the red zone. They rank third in opponent third down conversion rate and seventh in red zone defense. If they keep that up, they should be able to keep the Eagles in check.

I'll back the Commanders to keep this game closer than the spread indicates. – Iain MacMillan

Antonio Gibson OVER 3.5 Receptions

If you're looking for a prop angle to take advantage of with J.D. McKissic out, Antonio Gibson is the player to target in this matchup.

Gibson has 31 receptions on the season on 38 targets, and he's received four or more targets in six of his nine games this season.

There's some value on taking the OVER on Gibson's receiving prop against an Eagles team that should be able to get pressure on Heinicke. – Peter Dewey

Gibson has two games with seven catches this season and at least three grabs in five of his last six games.

Taylor Heinicke Longest Completion UNDER 34.5 Yards

The Eagles do a great job keeping the game in front of them preventing many long completions. They rank second in the NFL in opponent yards per completion at 8.4.

Carson Wentz was the quarterback for Washington in the first meeting between these two teams, and he averaged only 2.9 yards per pass. I think we're safe banking on Heinicke to not have an explosive throws for over 34 yards. – Iain MacMillan
