Monday Night Football Best Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets for Browns vs. Steelers
By Matt De Saro
Week 17 of the NFL season comes to a conclusion on Monday night under the lights of Heinz Field. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns are featured in primetime this week in what could be Ben Roethlisberger's last home game for the Steelers.
With a lot of offensive talent on display, what better way to cover this game than with an anytime touchdown scorer prop piece? Let’s take a look at some of the better player prop bets for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Browns vs. Steelers
- Nick Chubb anytime TD scorer (-150)
- Najee Harris anytime TD scorer (-154)
- Jarvis Landry anytime TD scorer (+175)
Nick Chubb anytime TD scorer (-150)
While the value here isn’t through the roof, getting Chubb at a decent price to score a TD is a good bet in my book. Chubb has a rushing touchdown in two straight games and has scored one touchdown in four of his last six games. These include passing touchdowns as well which is good for our purposes.
All in all, Chubb has totaled nine touchdowns this season with six coming in his last six games. Since returning from an early injury, he has scored in seven of eight games including a two TD day against the Ravens in Week 15.
As far as the matchup goes, Chubb failed to score against the Steelers earlier this season despite a 61-yard day. However, the Steelers rank 23rd in the NFL after allowing 16 rushing touchdowns in 15 games. The Browns need Chubb and their ground attack to have a good game if they have a chance at a strong win here and I think they know that.
Najee Harris anytime TD scorer (-154)
Najee Harris is coming off one of the better games of his young NFL career and I expect him to roll that momentum into Week 17.
Harris did fail to score for the second game in a row, but he managed 93 yards rushing and chipped in 17 yards through the air. Harris now has 984 yards and six rushing touchdowns this season. This is pretty impressive considering that the Steeles O-line has had a very up and down season.
While his six touchdowns aren’t all that impressive, Harris also has three touchdowns off receptions this year and 422 yards.
Harris is currently averaging right around 24 touches between the passing a rushing game and I think this gives him a great chance to scamper for a touchdown on Monday night.
While the Browns are a pretty good defense, they are awful in the red zone and rank 28th in RZ scoring percentage at 68.09. This is where we need Harris to shine and I think he comes through for us tomorrow night.
Jarvis Landry anytime TD scorer (+175)
This is a bit more of a high-risk play considering that Landry has only three touchdowns this season. Two of which were on the ground. Landry scored his first receiving touchdown of the season just two weeks ago against Baltimore.
While those are all very iffy numbers, they don't take into account that he has only played 10 games and was battling for targets with Odell Beckham Jr. before his midseason departure. He was always Mayfield's favorite target but now finds himself as one of his QB’s only viable targets. Landry now has 27 total targets in his last three games and has 15 receptions to show for it.
Helping him along will be a very suspect Steelers’ secondary. They are allowing the 23rd most passing yards per play in the NFL at 6.9 yards and 15th with an opponent completion percentage over 65.
