The Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary's tip-off Thursday's college hoops slate when they head to Staten Island to face the Wagner Seahawks at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Wagner remains undefeated in Northeast Conference play at 12-0 on the season and 16-2 overall. Meanwhile, Mount St. Mary's comes off a heartbreaker 62-61 home loss against Bryant, who are just one game back of Wagner in the Northeast.

We've already seen some early line movement, but have the lines shifted a bit too much?

Mount St. Mary's vs. Wagner Prediction and Pick

Wagner is undefeated in conference play, haven't lost since early December and comes off a 15-point blowout win vs. Long Island. Yet the line has shifted from the opening number of 9 down to -7.5 at most sportsbooks.

However, at WynnBET, they're still offering it at an 8-point line, and I'd highly suggest grabbing it before it continues to move.

Before the loss against a very good Bryant team, the Mountaineers had played some of their best basketball of the season, blowing out opponents in four straight games, while limiting their opponents to 53.5 points per game.

The overall numbers for MSM aren't great when you dive into the KenPom analytics, but in conference play, they've been very good. They boast the top-rated adjusted defensive efficiency, and rank top in the conference in effective field goal percentage both on offense as well as on defense. They also lead the league in three-point percentage, something that's been a major issue for Wagner who is ranked dead last in the Northeastern Conference.

If the Mountaineers continue to play terrific defense and keep making threes, I think they have a chance to give Wagner their first loss in conference play. Instead, I'll play it safe and take them with the eight-point cushion.

PICK: Mount St. Mary's +8 (-110)
