There has been an insane amount of parity through the majority of the NASCAR season, but we finally have a frontrunner.

Chase Elliott has stepped up and taken control of the NASCAR Cup Series. The standings leader flipflopped seemingly every single week, but now Elliott holds the lead by 67 points. He achieved this by becoming the first driver to rack up three wins on the season, and he got pivotal points last week by finishing in second place at the Ambetter 301.

Can he build on his lead at this week's M&M's Fan Appreciation 400? Let's start off by looking at the top 10 odds to win, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Odds to Win M&M's Fan Appreciation 400

NASCAR Picks: Best Bet for the M&M's Fan Appreciation 400

Fan appreciation 400? How about Bettors Appreciation 400? I know I'd feel appreciation if I could hit a winner this week.

Kyle Busch is the betting favorite to win this week, largely due to his recent dominance at Pocono Raceway. He has won this race in three of the last five years, but the fact that he only has one win on the season is keeping me away from him.

Instead, I'm going to go with the driver who went back-to-back at Pocono in the two years that Busch didn't win. Denny Hamlin won this race in 2019 and 2020, and I'll bet on him to do it again in 2022. He's been in solid form recently, finishing in sixth place last week.

Hamlin is also deserving to be further up the standings than he currently is. He currently ranks 19th, but that's largely due to a few DNFs he suffered early in the season. He's projected to finish the regular season in eighth, so some positive regression is in his future.

Pick: Denny Hamlin +850
