NASCAR Series Cup Championship Odds and Prediction: Four Drivers Remain With Shot at Title
The final race of the 2021 NASCAR season is set for this Sunday, November 7th. Four drivers remain in the race for the NASCAR Series Cup Championship. The winner will be decided at the Season Finale 500.
It all comes down to one race for the four remaining drivers, as their points have been reset and now all that matters is finishing on top at Phoenix Raceway. Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, and Martin Truex Jr. are the four drivers who will be competing for the championship this weekend.
Here are the odds to win it all, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
NASCAR Series Cup Championship Odds
- Kyle Larson +150
- Chase Elliott +250
- Denny Hamlin +325
- Martin Truex Jr. +450
Can Kyle Larson Complete Dominant Season?
Kyle Larson sat atop the Drivers Standings for the large majority of the season, and has truly been dominant from start to finish. His nine wins on the year was the most in NASCAR, with Martin Truex Jr. and Alex Bowman tied for the second most wins with four each.
Is he's able to finish the job on Sunday, this will be the first NASCAR Series Cup Championship of his career. Larson won two of the three races in the Round of 8, with his latest coming at the Hollywood Casino 400.
Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott Enter As Previous Winners
Two of the four participants in the Season Finale 500 are past winners of the event. Denny Hamlin was crowned king of NASCAR in 2019, and Chase Elliott was the winner in 2020. If Elliott is able to pull off the win on Sunday, he'll be the first back-to-back winner since Kevin Harvick did it in 2013-2014.
Both drivers have only won the NASCAR Series Cup once in their career.
NASCAR Series Cup Championship Prediction: Kyle Larson +150
It's boring to back the favorite, but it's the obvious choice to make here. Larson has had a career year, and he's been head and shoulders above the rest of the competition. With nine wins on the year, he's been dominant from start to finish.
Not only that, but Larson is in great form having won two of his last three races. The cards are lining up for him to capture his first ever NASCAR Series Cup Championship, so this is the rare occasion that I don't mind backing the favorite with my money.
