Nationals vs. Brewers Prediction and Odds for Saturday, May 21 (Continue to Fade 0-6 Patrick Corbin in Milwaukee)
By Matt De Saro
The Milwaukee Brewers are on a roll and will look to keep it going when they take on the Washington Nationals in Game 2 of their three-game weekend series at American Family Field. While beating up on the Nationals is not exactly a tall task, the Brewers need to keep winning in order to stay atop the NL Central. At 25-14, they hold a four-game lead over the Cardinals with nobody else even close. Milwaukee can run away with this division but has to win these types of games.

Nationals vs. Brewers Prediction and Pick
Most of the time, a team puts a starter on the hill who gives them the best chance to win. The Nationals are not doing that today with 0-6 Patrick Corbin getting the call. The Nationals are 0-8 in games that he starts and are just 1-7 ATS in those losses.
The most recent disaster for Corbyn came last Sunday against the Astros at home. Houston scored five runs in six innings including three long balls. And that is where this horror story gets even scarier. See, up until that game, Corbin had only given up one home run. For all his failures, he was at least keeping the ball in the park. So he managed an ERA North of 6.00 while only allowing one home run.
How bad are things going to get if he keeps giving up long balls like he did last week? Very bad is the answer.
There is no situation you can put him in right now where I would be on Corbin. I feel the same way in general about the Nationals too and can't believe this is the same franchise that won the World Series a few years ago. With a 3-12 record in their last 15 games, they are a must-fade team.
Pick: Brewers -1.5 (-105)
