NBA Best Bets (Back Two All-Stars, One Rising Star On Saturday)
The NBA All-Star break is over, which means that this column is getting a fresh start. The second half of the season is a chance for players, especially those out of the playoff race, to get their numbers and try and gain some momentum for the next season.
We went 1-2 last night, so hopefully we can rely on some All-Stars tonight
Best Prop Bets Today
- Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 31.5 Points (-115)
- Zach LaVine OVER 23.5 Points (-115)
- Scottie Barnes OVER 14.5 Points (-105)
Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 31.5 Points (-115)
Antetokounmpo has cleared this line in three of his last four games, giving him a lot of momentum for tonight. This is a matchup Antetokounmpo loves. He’s averaging 31.5 points against the Nets this year and averaged close to 40 points against them last season. With Ben Simmons still not there, the Nets’ defense won’t have any answers for the Greek Freak’s dominance.
Zach LaVine OVER 23.5 Points (-115)
The Bulls are clearly powered by DeRozan’s offense, but LaVine is getting left behind in recognition. He’s going to have a key part in Chicago’s offense and can be streaky as well. LaVine has cleared this line in three of the last six games, showing he can still be a viable Robin while DeRozan is taking over Batman duties.
LaVine is averaging 24.5 points per game on the season and should be able to get a few shots off on a Grizzlies team that has lost two in a row.
Scottie Barnes OVER 14.5 Points (-105)
With OG Anunoby set to be out, this is Barnes’ time to shine. He is coming off a 28-point performance against the Hornets and will take a lot of the minutes Anunoby had. Nick Nurse is known for giving his starters the brunt of the minutes, which means Barnes is about to be on the floor all the time.
As for tonight, Barnes has a lot of things going for him. He has increased minutes, has momentum and is playing a subpar Hawks defense. With these odds close to plus money, I’m a big fan of the value here.
