NBA Best Bets (Take The Over On Young Point Guards on Friday)
The NBA All-Star break is over, which means that this column is getting a fresh start. The second half of the season is a chance for players, especially those out of the playoff race, to get their numbers and try and gain some momentum for the next season.
Tonight, I'm backing some young point guards and a savvy veteran to get the job done. Let's dive into the plays.

Best Prop Bets Today
- Cole Anthony OVER 17.5 Points (+100)
- Jimmy Butler OVER 30 Points+Rebounds+Assists (+110)
- Dejounte Murray OVER 21.5 Points (-105)
Cole Anthony OVER 17.5 Points (+100)
Anthony has been inconsistent in the games leading up to the break, but he still has my faith tonight. He’s cleared this line in three of the last five games. The one game he missed this line was by one point. Anthony is going up against the worst defense in the NBA over the last 10 games. The Magic will be able to put up a lot of points tonight and Anthony will be the driving force of that.
Jimmy Butler OVER 30 Points+Rebounds+Assists (+110)
The Knicks are 22nd in defensive rating over the last 10 games, setting the stage for a big performance by Butler. He’s cleared this line in four of the last six games as well. He’s a stat sheet stuffer. In the Heat’s offense, there is room for Butler to playmake, score and be a key part of the defense. Against the Knicks and their porous defense, the only thing that can stop him from reaching this number is a blowout win.
Dejounte Murray OVER 21.5 Points (-105)
Murray is consistently around this line. He’s scored 30 points in two of the last four games and continues to be the lifeblood of the Spurs’ offense. The Wizards are in the bottom third of the league of defensive rating and won’t be able to keep up with Murray.
The key for Murray tonight is getting to the line. He only shoots 32% from three making the easy points at the free throw line, that much more valuable.
