We’re back with a full day of NBA games, which means that I’m back with my favorite plays for the day.

Today, I have two plays on a side and one player prop. We’re heading to Atlanta and Milwaukee for our game plays and even have a player prop for the Lakers-Bucks.

I’m ready to have a perfect Friday and get some momentum going into the weekend.

NBA Best Bets Today

  • Hawks ML vs. Nuggets
  • Bucks -7 vs. Lakers
  • Anthony Davis UNDER 23.5 Points

Hawks ML vs. Nuggets

The Nuggets have struggled on defense, ranking 24th in defensive rating. However, they’ve started to get into a groove on offense. Denver is third in offensive rating and is only 0.2 points away from being second in the league. With Jamal Murray getting back to his old self, the Nuggets are peaking and pose value as road favorites. On the season, they are 8-5 SU on the road.

Yet, we’re going to back the Hawks tonight. Atlanta is 7-4 SU at home this year and actually has a positive margin of victory, whereas the Nuggets have a negative margin of victory despite a 8-5 SU road record.

Atlanta has been slightly inconsistent, going 4-7 SU following a win. However, with both teams being equal, I’ll back the Hawks with value at home – where they clearly play better.

Bucks -7 vs. Lakers

Milwaukee is the second-best team against the spread in the league and the Bucks are about to get better. They just welcomed Pat Connaughton back into the fold, and Khris Middleton will make his season debut tonight against the Lakers. Both players will give the Bucks their intended starting lineup and will provide spacing and playmaking they haven’t had for the first 20 games  of the year.

As for the Lakers, they are one of the worst teams in the league against the spread. They are 8-12 ATS. Los Angeles’ defense is still solid, but the offense is dragging it down.

With Milwaukee getting its main off the dribble scorer back, they will pick up where they left off in last year’s playoffs and get a huge win.

This line has moved up to 8.5 in a lot of places, but I’m still comfortable backing the Bucks.

Anthony Davis UNDER 23.5 Points

Anthony Davis has been on a tear, but all that will get put on pause tonight. Last season, Davis struggled against the Bucks. He averaged just 20 points on low volume. Part of the reason he wasn’t getting a lot of shots up was because it’s hard to do so against Giannis Antetokoumpo and Brook Lopez. Both players are Defensive Player of the Year caliber. With Khris Middleton back in the lineup, the Bucks can reach their full defensive potential and shut down the star forward.
