NBA Best Bets Today (Predictions for Bones Hyland, Jordan Poole and Bucks-Bulls)
By Peter Dewey
We’ve got a pair of Game 5s in the NBA playoffs on Wednesday night, as the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks look to close out the Denver Nuggets and Chicago Bulls.
Two teams have already advanced in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, and the Bucks seem poised to join them with Zach LaVine and Alex Caruso out of the lineup on Wednesday.
Let’s get into today’s NBA Best Bets, with my playoff record sitting at 27-17!

NBA Best Bets Today
- Jordan Poole OVER 19.5 Points (-125)
- Milwaukee Bucks -12 vs. Chicago Bulls (-115)
- Bones Hyland OVER 1.5 3-Pointers (-135)
Jordan Poole OVER 19.5 Points (-125)
Don’t you dare dangle a Jordan Poole points prop at less than 20 and expect me not to bet it.
Despite a 3-for-10 shooting performance in Game 4, Poole is still playing a ton of minutes (39 last game) and has the ball in his hands a ton for Golden State.
Yes, Curry and Thompson are going to lead the way, but Poole is more than capable of getting 20 points, as he scored 30, 29 and 27 in the first three games of the series.
I’m going to underreact to this line moving all the way down from 22.5 in Game 4 and take the OVER on Poole.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls: Bucks -12 (-115)
The Bucks have absolutely dominated the Bulls in the last two games of this series, winning by 30 in Game 3 and 24 in Game 4.
Now, the Bulls are without their best defender (Caruso) and their second-leading scorer (LaVine) and you expect me to think they’ll keep this game within 12 points?
Let’s not forget that Chicago closed as a 10.5-point underdog on the road in Game 1, and while it covered the spread, this was a much different team than the one we are seeing today.
The Bucks should cruise to an easy win tonight, and I’m not afraid to lay double-digit points against a Bulls team that simply hasn’t competed in the last two games.
Bones Hyland OVER 1.5 3-Pointers (-135)
Bones Hyland was a major reason why the Nuggets won Game 4, as he scored 15 points in 20 minutes and hit 3-of-6 shots from beyond the arc.
Over his last 10 games, Hyland has cleared this line seven times, and he’s taken 18 3-pointers in four games in this series.
I’d be shocked if Denver didn’t go to Hyland for a scoring boost early in this game, and it’s worth noting the only game he missed this line in this series came when he played his fewest minutes (14) in Game 3. I love Bones to get hot from 3 on Wednesday.
