We need a bounce back in the NBA Best Bets column on Wednesday after the Denver Nuggets scored just 13 points in the fourth quarter; costing us an over bet on Tuesday night.

But, I digress.

Tonight, I'm looking to back the Los Angeles Clippers off their historic 35-point comeback over the Washington Wizards, and I also have a play in the Cleveland Cavaliers-Milwaukee Bucks matchup.

Plus, with several players out of the Phoenix Suns' matchup with the Utah Jazz, I have my eye on one role player to make a leap tonight.

Let's break down all of these picks!

NBA Best Bets Record to Date

  • NBA Best Bets Record: 101-104-2

NBA Best Bets Today

  • Milwaukee Bucks -4 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (-110)
  • Los Angeles Clippers Moneyline vs. Orlando Magic (+100)
  • Cameron Johnson OVER 15.5 Points (-115)

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Bucks -4 (-110)

Two playoff-caliber teams in the Eastern Conference will face off in Cleveland when the Milwaukee Bucks travel to play the Cleveland Cavaliers

Darius Garland has been carrying the Cavs this season, and he may have to do that again on Wednesday with Lauri Markkanen out and Jarrett Allen questionable for this game.

The Bucks have won three straight since Jrue Holiday returned to action, but can they keep it going?

Make no mistake, the Cavaliers have been elite as underdogs this season, going 17-8-1 against the spread, but Milwauke has been strong when favored on the road, going 10-6 ATS.

The Cavs survived a late scare against the New York Knicks on Monday, but I think they’ll have a little more trouble against the Bucks, especially if Allen is unable to go.

Milwaukee is seventh in offensive and defensive rating this season, and while the Cavs are third in defensive rating, they lag behind offensively, ranking 18th.

Allen and Evan Mobley are two perfect defenders for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but the lack of scoring outside of Garland is what concerns me for Cleveland. The Bucks are fourth in the East, but they are just a game out of the No. 1 seed.

I think they stay hot with Holiday (26-10 with him in the lineup this season) playing on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Orlando Magic: Clippers Moneyline (+100)

The Los Angeles Clippers pulled off an improbable comeback win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, erasing a 35-point deficit to win in the final moments.

Can they carry the momentum into tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic?

Both of these teams struggle on offense, as the Clippers rank 27th in the NBA in offensive rating and the Magic are right behind them in the No. 28 spot.

The difference is Tyronn Lue’s team has posted a top 10 defensive rating this season while the Magic are 24th in the NBA.

Orlando did blow out the shorthanded Chicago Bulls in its last game, but it has won just nine games all season and is just 2-8 in its last 10.

The Clippers may be in for a letdown spot against Orlando, but Marcus Morris is questionable, which could give them a major scoring boost.

I’ll back Los Angeles to beat the worst team in the NBA tonight.

Cameron Johnson OVER 15.5 Points (-105)

I am all over the Cameron Johnson prop market with Deandre Ayton, Jae Crowder, Cameron Payne and JaVale McGee out of the lineup.

Johnson got the start for the Phoenix Suns against the Utah Jazz in their last game and had 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, raising his season percentages to 45.5 percent from the field and 43.0 percent from 3.

As a starter this season, Johnson is averaging 18.1 points per game in seven games and is attempting an average of 11.6 shots per game.

Give me the over with Rudy Gobert out for the Jazz tonight.

Peter Dewey’s betting record is 101-104-2 (-12.38 units) in the NBA this season. You can find all of his picks here.
