NBA Best Bets Today (Predictions for Celtics-Heat, Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry in Game 4)
By Peter Dewey
The Eastern Conference Finals certainly have more intrigue than the Western Conference Finals to this point, and we have a pivotal Game 4 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics Monday night.
Both teams got banged up in Game 3, but the Heat came away with a win behind a huge game from Bam Adebayo.
Now, the Celtics look to remain undefeated following a loss in this postseason tonight. I think they do; leading me into my three best bets for this Game 4 matchup:

Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics: Celtics -6 (-110)
Miami is looking to break the Celtics’ unbeaten streak following a loss in the postseason.
I was on the wrong side of Game 3 since I bet on the Celtics -6, but I’m going back to the well on Monday night.
Boston has been terrific after a loss for quite some time now, and with Game 4 being at home I can’t see the Celtics blowing both matchups.
Turnovers really killed Boston in Game 3, so the team is going to need to clean things up, which may be easier if Jimmy Butler (probable, knee) isn’t his usual self on the defensive end.
Boston has simply been too good on both ends this entire postseason, and in this series, to lose two straight. The Celtics have outscored Miami in 10 of the 12 quarters in this series. If they avoid the quarter where they fall apart, they should be fine at home.
Jimmy Butler OVER 35.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-125)
Jimmy Butler missed the second half of Game 3, and his knee injury is a bit of a concern here, but if he plays, I expect him to be a full go in Game 4.
Butler’s PRA got as high as 39.5 in this series, but the injury has knocked it all the way back down to 35.5.
Prior to getting injured in Game 3, Butler had cleared 35.5 PRA in seven straight games! If he’s healthy enough to play, we’re going to get Jimmy’s all, and I think he clears this line once again.
Kyle Lowry UNDER 19.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-110)
I’m backing Jimmy Butler, but I’m fading Kyle Lowry in the same prop after he put up 11 points, six dimes and one rebound in Game 3.
Butler didn’t play the entire second half in that game, and while Tyler Herro is out in Game 4, I don’t love how much Lowry’s line has moved from 17.5 to 19.5.
Lowry is still not 100 percent, and he played just 29 minutes despite the injuries to Butler and Herro in Game 3. I think this is a perfect spot to fade him after the line moved with Herro being ruled out.
