NBA Best Bets Today (Predictions for Jaden Ivey, Lakers-76ers & Bucks-Mavericks)
There’s 10 games on the NBA docket tonight and I have you covered with my favorite bets of the night.
Tonight, I have one player prop and two game picks to follow. We’re going to back some positive regression, trust the process and make our pick in a battle of MVPs.
Here are my favorite plays of the day.
NBA Best Bets Today
- Jaden Ivey OVER 14.5 Points
- 76ers -4.5 vs. Lakers
- Bucks -1.5 vs. Mavericks
Jaden Ivey OVER 14.5 Points
The Orlando Magic have lost seven games in a row and have only covered in two of those games. One of the games they did cover in was as a double-digit underdog. We’re getting to the point in the Magic’s streak where I want to believe they are due for a win/cover.
I’ve bet on the Magic several times during this losing streak and at this point, I simply want to see this through.
The Raptors have only been a 10-point favorite once this season, and they failed to cover at home in that game as well.
With the Magic having talent and length to challenge Toronto at the rim, I’ll back them to keep this game close.
Sixers -4.5 vs. Lakers
The only thing that will matter in this game is whether Anthony Davis and LeBron James will play. The two sat out on Wednesday and the Lakers fell to the Toronto Raptors. They are probable for tonight's matchup, which is the main thing I'll be monitoring. If Joel Embiid and James Harden are able to play against Thomas Bryant and Lonnie Walker, it will be an easy night for them.
Los Angeles was 8-2 when Davis was healthy and going berserk. Another elite performance would give the Lakers good value as an underdog. However, with the line now within four points, I’ll easily back the 76ers.
Philadelphia is 7-4-1 ATS as the home team this year. Meanwhile, the Lakers are 3-8 ATS as road underdogs. If James and Davis are available, I'll back the Lakers as road dogs. Otherwise, I'll take Philadelphia to end this losing streak.
Bucks -1.5 vs. Mavericks
Tonight’s matchup is all about the star matchup between Giannis Antetokunmpo and Luka Dončić. Both are averaging over 30 points per game and are close to the top of the MVP ladder. While Dončić has shown the ability to carry the Mavericks to wins, he can’t do that tonight.
The Bucks are just too stout defensively. Milwaukee is second in defensive rating and has already beaten Dallas this season without Khris Middleton. Now the Bucks have multiple sources of offense to throw at Dallas – who are dependent on their star more than anyone in the league.
Dallas is 4-8-1 ATS at home and is now going against one of the toughest teams in the league. If you want to back Dallas, take the OVER on Dončić points, but I’m not backing them on moneyline or spread.
