The Miami Heat are in the middle of a little bit of controversy, but they are still big favorites against the Knicks tonight -- and are one of our NBA Best Bets for today’s action.

On top of that, we have a few player props for star centers Joel Embiid and Rudy Gobert.

Let’s get into today’s picks!

Best Prop Bets Today

  • Joel Embiid OVER 31.5 Points (-105)
  • Heat -7.5 vs. Knicks (-110)
  • Rudy Gobert OVER 14.5 Rebounds (-125)

Joel Embiid OVER 31.5 Points (-105)

Embiid has cleared this line in four of his last six games and has scored at least 30 in five of the last six. The Clippers have a weak interior defense that gave up 30 points to Nikola Jokic on 15 shots. Embiid will shoot much more and go to the free throw line more than Jokic. Embiid scored 40 points his last time out against the Sixers. Even with Harden there now, he will still be dominant in the paint. Coming off a 30-point game, Embiid has enough momentum to have a big game.

Heat -7.5 vs. Knicks (-110)

The Knicks have played some of their best basketball of the year over the last 10 games. New York is 6-4 and has the fifth-highest net rating in the league. The Knicks have the best defense in the league during that span. I still have to fade them.

New York has shown time and time again it doesn't handle success well. The Knicks are 12-18 ATS after a win this season. They miss the spread by an average of 2.8 points in those games as well.

Miami, who lost to the Warriors on Wednesday, is great at bouncing back. The Heat are 16-8-1 ATS after a loss (3rd-best in the league). Even with the fight on the bench on Wednesday, I think the Heat are focused and handle business against the Knicks.

Rudy Gobert OVER 14.5 Rebounds (-125)

Gobert has cleared this line in four of his last seven games. While he’s missed it in the last three games, the Hornets are still one of the weaker teams on the interior. Gobert averages 14.5 rebounds per game and I like betting on some positive regression tonight. The last time the Jazz played the Hornets, Gobert had an astounding 21 rebounds. This is a good matchup for him and the juice isn't too bad.
