Welcome to Basketball Heaven!

Every NBA team is in action on Monday, Nov. 7, giving fans the ability to watch just about anyone they want today.

Want to see Luka Doncic and Kevin Durant face off? What about Jayson Tatum and Ja Morant? You can do that and so much more today, so why not place some wagers as well?

For the first time this season, we’re going with five picks in the NBA Best Bets column to honor the action on Monday. Sit back, relax and watch some hoops tonight.

Oh, and let’s win some bread while we’re at it:

NBA Best Bets Record to Date

NBA Best Bets Today

  • Denver Nuggets First Quarter -2.5 (-105) vs. San Antonio Spurs
  • Boston Celtics Moneyline (-165) vs. Memphis Grizzlies
  • Darius Garland OVER 31.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-115)
  • RJ Barrett H2H Rebounds (+100) vs. Anthony Edwards
  • Josh Giddey OVER 14.5 Points (-125)

Denver Nuggets First Quarter -2.5 (-105) vs. San Antonio Spurs

This is a pretty simple bet after Denver dismantled the San Antonio Spurs by 25 points on Saturday. The Nuggets rank second in the NBA in first quarter net rating at 21.2 while the Spurs are 25th at -9.5.

After a quick start to the season, the Spurs have fallen off over the last few games, while Denver barely had to play its starters to win this game on Saturday. Even on the road, I think Denver rolls.

Boston Celtics Moneyline (-165) vs. Memphis Grizzlies

It will be interesting to see if Memphis rules anyone out on the second night of a back-to-back, especially since Desmond Bane is coming off an injury from earlier this season.

The Celtics should be well rested after last playing against the New York Knicks on Saturday, scoring 133 points and hitting 27 3-pointers in the win.

The Celtics certainly won’t shoot the ball as well as they did against New York, but I think they should win this game against Memphis.

The Grizzlies have also taken a step back defensively without Jaren Jackson Jr., ranking 22nd in the NBA this season. Boston (No. 2 in offensive rating) should be able to take advantage of that in this game.

Darius Garland OVER 31.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-115)

We have a very small sample size with Darius Garland this season, but the early results are promising.

In both games where he made it through the full game, Garland has gone for 46 and 35 PRA while taking 19 shots per game. He’s going to push 20-plus points, and Garland is an elite playmaker, averaging 9.5 assists in his last two games.

31.5 is simply too low of a number, even against a tough Los Angeles Clippers defense.

RJ Barrett H2H Rebounds (+100) vs. Anthony Edwards

For those looking, this prop is available at DraftKings, and it may be my favorite on the board tonight.

The Knicks have struggled on the glass without Mitchell Robinson, which means RJ Barrett is going to have to crash more against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

RJ is averaging 5.9 rebounds per game, with just two games all season where he’s grabbed less than five boards. As for Anthony Edwards, he has just four games with over five rebounds, averaging 5.4 per game.

The Knicks rank 13th in rebounding percentage to Minnesota at 17, so I love getting even money on RJ to outrebound Edwards tonight.

Josh Giddey OVER 14.5 Points (-125)

Josh Giddey returned from an injury to score 16 and 15 points in his last two games, taking 14 shots in each contest.

Giddey has attempted double-digit shots in every game this season, and the Oklahoma City Thunder face the Detroit Pistons on Monday, who have the worst defensive rating in the NBA.
