NBA Best Bets Today (Predictions for Steph Curry, Nuggets-Mavericks)
Welcome to a fantastic day of NBA games. There’s 11 games on the schedule and BetSided has you covered with the best plays of the night.
Today, I have two prop bets that I’m excited for and one ATS pick for a Western conference showdown.
Our guy Peter Dewey has gone 5-0 in his last two columns. Let’s keep the winners rolling.
NBA Best Bets Today
- Lu Dort UNDER 15.5 Points
- Stephen Curry OVER 29.5 Points
- Nuggets +9 vs. Mavericks
Lu Dort UNDER 15.5 Points
Dort has cleared this line in each of his last three games, but I’m going to bet on a little bit of regression tonight. He’s averaging over 18 points per game on 52% from the field and 50% from three. Those numbers are fantastic, but Dort isn’t that great of a shooter. I’d rather bank on Dort having an average game than trust that this heater will continue.
Stephen Curry OVER 29.5 Points
Curry has cleared this line in seven of his last 10 games, so I’m going to trust him to do it again tonight. The Warriors are so reliant on Curry’s offense that scoring is an absolute necessity. The Knicks have the 22nd ranked defense right now. There won’t be a lot of resistance for Curry to get to the basket or have a big night from three. He’s coming off a 50-point performance, so let the shots fly and the points roll in.
Nuggets +9 vs. Mavericks
Denver won’t have Jamal Murray or Nikola Jokic tonight. It’s going to be an uphill battle, but the best play is to still back Denver.
Dallas hasn’t covered in 10 straight games and even lost to the Houston Rockets in its last game. As great as Luka Dončić has been, the Mavericks are only 13th in offense. They aren’t spectacular by any means.
The Mavs have won by double digits just once this season. I just don’t think it’s in their DNA to blow teams out.
Take the Nuggets tonight and trust what the Mavs have shown us all season.
