We have a massive Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat on Thursday night.

Miami took Game 1, but Boston was without Marcus Smart and Al Horford in that matchup. Things may not get any better for Boston, as Smart is expected to play but Derrick White is out and Horford is doubtful for Game 2.

Does that give us any value when betting on this matchup?

NBA Best Bets Today

  • Victor Oladipo OVER 7.5 Points (-125)
  • Miami Heat -3.5 vs. Boston Celtics (-110)
  • Tyler Herro UNDER 22.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-105)

Victor Oladipo OVER 7.5 Points (-125)

Victor Oladipo has been up and down in these playoffs, but he has had a consistent role in Erik Spoelstra’s rotation.

Oladipo took nine shots in just 15 minutes in Game 1, and he’s averaging 10.7 points on 9.2 shots per game in the playoffs. I think we see Oladipo play a similar role as a bench scorer in Game 2, and he should have a chance to get going with Derrick White out, meaning Payton Pritchard is going to have to defend someone on Miami.

Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat: Heat -3.5 (-110)

I was on the Celtics in Game 1, but I can’t back them again in Game 2 with so many rotation questions.

The Heat have been elite as favorites in the playoffs under Spoelstra, and they showed in Game 1 that they can weather a strong Boston shooting performance (59 percent in the first half) and still control the game.

Jimmy Butler may not have another 41-point game, but the Heat are extremely deep against a Celtics team that is going to maybe go eight deep tonight. Give me Miami to go up 2-0.

Tyler Herro UNDER 22.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-105)

Tyler Herro was fantastic in Game 1, scoring 18 points and grabbing eight rebounds and three assists.

However, that’s been the outlier in these playoffs, as Herro has cleared 22.5 PRA in just four of his 12 playoff games. The key? Herro scored 18 or more points in each of those four games.

I don’t know if he plays as well offensively tonight, so I’ll take the lighter -105 juice for him to go UNDER this number.
