How sweep it was on Tuesday night in the NBA Best Bets column, and I’m back with four more plays for Wednesday’s action.

You know we had to get the sweep graphic in there…

Tonight, I have my eye on three prop bets and one spread pick, with an emphasis on power forwards (Al Horford, Pascal Siakam and Bobby Portis).

Forward appreciation night anyone?

Anyway, let’s dive into the picks and this year’s record:

NBA Best Bets Record to Date

NBA Best Bets Today

  • Memphis Grizzlies -2.5 (-110) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
  • Al Horford OVER 9.5 Points (-125)
  • Pascal Siakam OVER 33.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-115)
  • Bobby Portis OVER 21.5 Points and Rebounds (-110)

Memphis Grizzlies -2.5 (-110) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Grizzlies’ biggest advantage comes on the offensive end, as the team is eighth in the league in offensive rating this season. The Wolves rank 17th in the same statistic, and they are now down their best offensive player for the foreseeable future.

Sure, Rudy Gobert and the Timberwolves defense can step up, but let’s not forget that they gave up 41 points to Kristaps Porzingis on Monday night.

Memphis is 4-3 against the spread this season as a road favorite, and I think it’s severely undervalued in the market in this game, even with Desmond Bane still out.

The Wolves have lost three straight games, getting blown out in their last two matchups against the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards.

Memphis has a far better net rating than Washington, and it should be closer to a four or five point favorite with Karl-Anthony Towns out for Minnesota.

I’m out on backing the Wolves until they prove they can turn this thing around.

Al Horford OVER 9.5 Points (-125)

Al Horford is averaging 11.2 points per game this season, and he’s being undervalued with this line on Wednesday.

Horford has put up double-digit points in 11 of his 17 games this season, and he’s been even better over the past month, scoring 10-plus points in 10 of his 12 games in November.

The Heat are a good defensive team, but Horford should be able to stretch the floor on them. He’s only taking 7.8 shots per game, but Al is shooting an exceptional 55.6 percent from the field and 48.7 percent form 3.

Go OVER on his low points total tonight.

Pascal Siakam OVER 33.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-115)

This line is way too low for Pascal Siakam, who has cleared it in nine of his 10 games this season, including his first game back from injury.

Siakam is averaging 24.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game this season, and he’s taking on a New Orleans Pelicans team that ranks 13th in the league in pace.

The All-Star forward does it all for the Raptors, and I think we’re getting a chance to take advantage of a low line because of his injury earlier this season.

Bobby Portis OVER 21.5 Points and Rebounds (-110)

Bobby Portis has played 19 games for the Milwaukee Bucks this season, and he’s been an absolute beast on the glass and scoring off the bench.

In those games, Portis has 11 games where he cleared 21.5 points and rebounds and five games where he finished with 21 on the dot. Moral of the story? Bobby P is going to put up close to these numbers tonight.

Portis gets a revenge game against the New York Knicks, who are 24th in defensive rating, 10th in pace and 16th in rebounding percentage. This is a great matchup for a lot of points and possessions, so trust Bobby P to go OVER this number for the second time against the Knicks this season.
