NBA Best Bets is back!
You knew I couldn't go cold turkey from the NBA, and I've got a play on each of the games in the Salt Lake City Summer League for Wednesday night.
Let's get into the picks:

NBA Best Bets Today
- Philadelphia 76ers -6 vs. Utah Jazz (-110)
- Oklahoma City Thunder Moneyline vs. Memphis Grizzlies (-130)
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Utah Jazz: Sixers -6 (-110)
The Sixers have a few NBA players on their roster in Isaiah Joe (19 points vs. Memphis) and Paul Reed (20 points, 15 rebounds vs. Memphis).
That should help them against a really inexperienced Jazz team that also doesn’t have Walker Kessler who it traded for in the Rudy Gobert deal.
The Jazz really struggled in their first Summer League game, shooting 34.7 percent from the field.
Utah doesn’t have a ton of young talent, especially without Kessler, and whenever a team is led by Kofi Cockburn, Jared Butler and Tacko Fall, I’m going to have a hard time betting on them.
The Sixers have a ton of actual NBA talent on their roster, and they didn’t even play last year’s G League MVP Trevelin Queen in their opener.
As long as Reed, Joe and Charles Bassey continue to play big minutes, the Sixers should be one of the better Summer League teams.
Pick: Sixers -6 (-110)
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: OKC Moneyline (-130)
The Thunder have essentially half of the rotation in the Summer League, and Chet Holmgren put on a show in Tuesday’s win.
Memphis has last year’s lottery pick Zaire Williams as well as Xavier Tillman joining this year's first-round pick Jake LaRavia.
The Thunder didn’t even need to play Tre Mann to dominate the Jazz in their first game, and it’s actually crazy how many players they have from last year's NBA roster on this team.
Thunder Summer League Players With NBA Experience
- Tre Mann
- Josh Giddey
- Aaron Wiggins
- Alekesej Pokusevski
- Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
That doesn’t even include the team’s three first-round picks, Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng and Jalen Williams or second-rounder Jaylin Williams.
This team is loaded.
The Grizzlies played a hard-fought game with a strong Sixers team yesterday, but the Thunder have so much young and NBA level talent that I think they may be the team to beat in the Salt Lake City Summer League.
Pick: Thunder ML (-130)
