It’s a new week already in the NBA, but last week ended on a strong note in the NBA Best Bets column, and we’re looking to keep some momentum heading into this week.

Two of the NBA’s best teams, the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks are road favorites on Sunday, and I’m backing one of them in tonight’s picks.

Plus, LeBron James is questionable for the Los Angeles Lakers in his rematch with Isaiah Stewart and the Detroit Pistons after last week’s scuffle that led to both players getting suspended.

I’ve got props in Lakers-Pistons and Warriors-Clippers matchups, as well as an upset pick in another West Coast matchup for the Nov. 28 slate:

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers: Bucks -2.0 (-110)

On the season, these two teams are pretty evenly matched in the key metrics as the Bucks are 14th in offensive rating and 12th in defensive rating while the Pacers are 15th and 13th in those same categories.

However, Milwaukee was not healthy to open the year, missing Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton for significant stretches. The team is 6-0 since Middleton returned to the lineup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 17, and while the Pacers have won three of their last four, I’m backing Milwaukee in this spot.

It is rare that you will find the defending champs as just a two-point favorite against a team below .500, and Milwaukee is 5-1 against the spread as a road favorite this season.

Sacramento Kings vs. Memphis Grizzlies: Kings Moneyline (+130)

The Memphis Grizzlies dodged a bullet on Friday when star guard Ja Morant went down with a non-contact knee injury, as he appears to have suffered only a sprain and should return this season.

Morant clearly won’t play tonight against the Sacramento Kings, but the Grizzlies are still favored in this matchup.

It’s a small sample size, but the Kings are 2-1 since firing Luke Walton and have a chance to grab a third win against a Grizzlies team that has been feast or famine all season.

Memphis has the worst defensive rating in the NBA, and it’s been able to keep up with other teams mainly because of its offense, led by Morant. With Ja out on Friday, Atlanta trounced the Grizzlies and I don’t think I can back them against the Kings tonight.

Sacramento hasn’t been great this season, but it has covered the spread in four of its seven games as a road dog this year. I think the Kings are actually in a great spot to upset, as the Grizzlies’ weak defense should benefit a Kings team that is No. 10 in offensive rating this season.

Detroit Pistons vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Anthony Davis to Record a Double-Double (+100)

Anthony Davis has struggled with his shot this season, but he’s yet to score less than 10 points in a game that he’s finished, and he did double-double against the Pistons last week with 30 points and 10 rebounds.

Davis is averaging 24.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this season, and the Pistons don’t have many big bodies in the frontcourt that should be able to slow him down on the glass.

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Clippers: Steph Curry OVER 5.5 Assists (-125)

I’m surprised that this number has fallen to just 5.5 for Curry, even though the Clippers have the No. 2 defensive rating in the NBA this season.

Steph is averaging 6.9 assists per game and he’s gone over this number in four straight games, and five of his last six. Steph hasn’t had below five assists in a game since Nov. 7, so I’m going to ride the over on this prop all day in what should be a fun game in Los Angeles.
