NBA Best Bets Today (Predictions for Nets-Sixers, Torrey Craig on Tuesday)
By Peter Dewey
Injuries really derailed Tuesday night's slate in the NBA, with Nikola Jokic, Ja Morant, Jamal Murray, Chris Paul, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and others out for tonight's action.
That's led me to just two picks for tonight's games, as there isn't as much value on the board in my eyes with the injury uncertainty.
So, I have a prop play for each of the primetime matchups tonight, as we look to get back to 10 over .500 in our season-long NBA Best Bets.

- Brooklyn Nets First Quarter Spread -2.5 (-105) vs. Philadelphia 76ers
- Torrey Craig UNDER 6.5 Rebounds (-130)
Brooklyn Nets First Quarter Spread -2.5 (-105) vs. Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers are going to have a makeshift roster in this game, so I love taking Brooklyn early when we know Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will be on the floor.
After a brutal start to this season, the Nets are now actually 11th in the NBA in first quarter net rating.
No Joel Embiid, James Harden or Tyrese Maxey means the Sixers are going to have to get creative to score points. That’s not going to work when KD is on the floor, especially with Ben Simmons playing better as of late.
Brooklyn should roll early in this game.
Torrey Craig UNDER 6.5 Rebounds (-130)
Torrey Craig has filled in admirably for the Phoenix Suns in the starting lineup for Cameron Johnson, but I’m fading him here in this rebounding prop.
Craig has cleared this line just two times in his eight starts and three times in 16 games this season.
Since moving to the starting lineup, Craig was able to clear this against two of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat, who are both bottom-six in the league in rebounding percentage.
The Lakers aren’t great on the glass, but they have a ton of big bodies they’ll throw at Phoenix tonight.
Craig can have a good game and grab six boards, but he’s averaging just 4.7 on the season. I’ll go UNDER here.
