NBA Betting Trends to Know for Wednesday, April 6 (Can Pistons Continue ATS Streak?)
By Peter Dewey
The playoff push continues on, and if you’re looking to bet on the NBA on Wednesday night, you’re going to want to know these key trends.
As always, betting on trends isn’t a foolproof way to make a good bet, but they do help when you’re trying to figure out how a team performs in a certain situation (favorite, underdog, road, home, etc.)
Here are some trends to know for tonight’s action, with all odds below via WynnBET Sportsbook.
Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets Struggle in Back-to-Backs
This season, the Atlanta Hawks are just 5-10 against the spread in back-to-backs, and they take on the Washington Wizards as 10-point favorites on Wednesday night.
The Hawks aren’t the only team in action on Wednesday that struggles in back-to-backs, as the Brooklyn Nets are just 3-9-1 against the spread in the second game of a back-to-back this season.
Brooklyn beat the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, but it will play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden tonight as five-point favorites.
These teams may be fade worthy for bettors tonight.
Boston Celtics are 17-4 Straight Up, 14-7 Against the Spread as Road Favorite
The Boston Celtics are seven-point favorites against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, and the Bulls have been horrendous against the top teams in each conference this season.
Boston should be able to roll in this matchup, and Ime Udoka’s team has gone 17-4 straight up and 14-7 against the spread when favored on the road.
Detroit Pistons are 17-3-1 Against the Spread Since All-Star Break
The Detroit Pistons are the gift that keeps on giving for NBA bettors.
Cade Cunningham and company have covered in 17 of their last 21 games, and they are 8.5-point home dogs against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.
Detroit is also 20-12-1 against the spread as a home underdog this season, and while the Pistons will be a trendy pick, it’s hard not to ride this train until the wheels fall off.
