Although we are past the technical midway point of the NBA season, the NBA All-Star break is recognized as the split between the first and second half of the season. We've also passed the trade deadline, which means that most teams' rosters are set for the rest of the season.

The teams are set, but that doesn't mean the standings are. The No. 1 and No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference are decided by 2.5 games right now. There is still a lot that can happen before we get to the playoffs.

Here's how the NBA title odds look right now, courtesy of WynnBET.

Odds to Win NBA Championship Before All-Star Break

  • Phoenix Suns: +400
  • Golden State Warriors: +450
  • Brooklyn Nets: +600
  • Milwaukee Bucks :+600
  • Philadelphia 76ers :+700
  • Miami Heat: +1200
  • Utah Jazz: +1200
  • Boston Celtics: +2500
  • Memphis Grizzlies: +2500
  • Chicago Bulls: +3000
  • Cleveland Cavaliers: +3000
  • Dallas Mavericks: +3000
  • Denver Nuggets: +3000

Eastern Conference Standings

The Brooklyn Nets are still the title favorites after shipping James Harden away to the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the race at the top is as tight as its been all year long. The Nets and Bucks, who are now separated by 4.5 games lead the way, with the Sixers close behind.

We won't see either the Nets or Sixers at full strength until after the All-Star break, but their full teams will definitely send waves up the odds standings.

Western Conference Standings

The Phoenix Suns have taken over the odds standings, and for good reason. They have the best record in the league and have been the most consistent, drama-free team all year. The Warriors have fallen behind in the real standings, but are still right on the Suns' tails in the odds standings.

The oddsmakers see the Western Conference as a two-team race. While the Jazz and Grizzlies have been good this year, the belief they can get it done in the postseason is still not there.

All in all, there is still a lot of movement left to happen. Even at the bottom of the list with teams like Miami and Chicago, there is still a lot of value left on the board.

The next deadline is the buyout deadline. Once the dust has settled from there, then the real final stretch will be on.
