The 2021-2022 NBA season is less than a week away, and our team at BetSided is here to get you set with a total predictions for each team and best bets in the Futures market.

Here are our team's best bets for Rookie of the Year, with odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook!

Jalen Green, Houston Rockets (+240)

Green is a flat-out hooper. He can score at all three levels and he’s instantly one of the go-to guys on a rebuilding Rockets squad.

The other favorite for the award is Cade Cunningham, but Cunningham will have to make a big adjustment coming from the college game. Green was playing in the G-League last season and averaged 17.9 points on 46% from the field. If he can do the same in the NBA -- or even show flashes of that -- the award will be his. Green has been adamant about how he feels slighted he wasn’t the No. 1 overall pick. That chip on his shoulder will be front and center this season and will lead him to the award. -- Donnavan Smoot

Josh Giddey, Oklahoma City Thunder (+1500)

A big indicator for Rookie of the Year is usage. Giddey projects as the starter in the tank-tastic Oklahoma City rotation alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the back court. The No. 6 pick put together a strong preseason and late in the season I expect the team to hand him the keys and let him build up the counting stats requisite for the award.

Jalen Green and Cade Cunningham look like strong bets, but their teams will also struggle. I’ll take a stab on Giddey pushing himself into the mix with a higher than expected usage rate and tamed down expectations by not being a top two pick. -- Reed Wallach
