NC State vs. Louisville Prediction and Odds for College Football Week 12 (Take The Under with Two Backup QBs)
By Josh Yourish
First, NC State lost their quarterback Devin Leary, then they started losing games. The Wolfpack were 5-1 when Leary went out and since then they are 2-2. A loss to 3-7 Boston College last week was certainly the low-point of the season, and now they are looking to bounce back against 6-4 Louisville. The Cardinals had won four straight since their loss to BC, but last week they ran into Clemson and fell, 31-16. Even worse they might be without their quarterback, Malik Cunningham after he left that game with a shoulder injury.
We could have two backup QBs going head-to-head in the ACC Atlantic division, so let’s take a look at the odds and trends.

Louisville and NC State Betting Trends

- Louisville is 4-0 ATS in last four home games
NC State vs. Louisville Prediction and Pick
If Cunningham can’t go for Louisville, the Cardinals will be in big trouble. Brock Domann is their backup and the junior has attempted 77 passes in his career, has only completed 40 and has four interceptions to just two passing touchdowns. The Cardinals won’t be able to lean on the run either, because the Wolfpack are No. 9 in the country in rush defense.
We know it will be MJ Morris at QB for NC State. He has played well in relief of Leary and the Wolfpack are averaging 24 points per game in his three starts. Last week, the issues for their offense were on third-down when they only moved the chains on two of 12 attempts. Louisville has the 35th best third-down defense in the country, so they might run into the same issues this week.
If Cunningham can play it might be different, but for right now I expect two backup QBs and that is a great recipe for an under.
Pick: Under 45.5 (-109)
