N.C. State vs. Wake Forest Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 11

Week 11 features a dynamite conference battle between ranked in-state rivals in the NC State Wolfpack and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. This is one of the games to watch this weekend in what should be a close-fought battle of two teams atop the ACC Atlantic division. 

Currently, the No. 9 ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons lead the division and have yet to lose a conference game. They did lose a shocker to UNC last week in a 58-55 shootout that featured very little defense on either side. QB Sam Hartman threw two costly interceptions that robbed Wake Forest of two much-needed scoring opportunities. 

The 7-2 Wolfpack are coming off a win over Florida State and need to beat Wake Forest to have a shot at the division.

This game is going to be a slugfest and the defenses will have a tough time keeping up on either side. Wake Forest’s offense ranks sixth in the nation in total yards with 508.8 YPG and third in scoring at 44.7 PPG. NC State has an average of 31.1 PPG this year 415.4 YPG for comparison.

While Wake Forest has a slight edge on offense, N.C. State has a sizable one on defense. The Wolfpack are holding opponents to just 16.0 points per game compared with the Demon Deacons 27.7 points per game surrendered. 

With the sheer amount of offense, these two teams are capable of the over seems like the obvious option. But, the N.C. State defense is good enough to no stop, but at least slow Wake Forest down. This game will go down to the wire but I think N.C. State’s defense keeps Wake Forest in check and The Deacon's defense does enough to keep this game under 67 points.
