Nets vs. Bucks prediction and odds for NBA Summer League (Fall is Bucks Downfall)
By Josh Yourish
It’s been a good summer league for the Milwaukee Bucks who are 2-0 so far and have seen a lot of promise from their 2022 first round pick, MarJon Beauchamp. That’s the best case scenario for a veteran laden team that doesn’t need to see much in summer league. The Nets have a few more available opportunities for minutes on the floor next season, so the summer might be even more important to them.
Brooklyn is 1-1 in their two games and they are underdogs in Game 3 tonight. Let’s get into the odds for Nets and Bucks at the Cox Pavilion.

Nets vs. Bucks prediction and pick
The Bucks are undefeated in Summer League so far and that’s not a huge surprise. They’re the exact type of team that typically wins games in Summer League because of their roster of older players who either spent multiple years in college or have already been professionals for a while. They have a 19-year-old in Chris Livingston who they nabbed with the 58th overall pick this year, but he has done well including a game with 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
Beauchamp has been the star of the Milwaukee team with 20 points in Game 1 and 23 last time out. There is a potential issue for Milwaukee in this matchup though. Tacko Fall is their starting center and against the Nuggets last time out he was a -17 in 16 minutes of a game that they won. Denver had a lot of athleticism and shooting on the floor and that exposed all of Fall’s weaknesses. Brooklyn could try to do the same.
Noah Clowney was the 21st overall pick to the Nets last month and while he is 2-9 from three in two games this summer he will stretch out the Milwaukee defense as Brooklyn’s starting big. Clowney is an undersized mobile big who can spot up from deep and is Tacko Fall’s worst nightmare. I think Brooklyn can expose Fall like Denver did and that’s enough to make me like the underdog in this one.
Pick: Nets +120
